LMS Maintenance Notes – October 21, 2025

This release includes bug fixes and improvements to enhance system usage, launch issues, and several enhancements to Assessments, along with several fixes to the Scormify platform

[Feature] Assessment Enhancements

- Question Pools: Add, Remove, and Move Questions

  • Add/Remove Options: Admins can now add a "Remove" option alongside "Delete" in question pools. Removing a question detaches it from the assessment but keeps it active in the question bank for reuse. Deleting permanently removes the question if it’s not shared or associated with learner data. Bulk removal is supported, and confirmation dialogs ensure safe actions.

  • Move Questions Between Pools: Within an assessment, admins can shift questions between pools using a new "Change Pool" option. The sidebar lists available pools, and questions are moved to the bottom of the selected pool. Archived questions or those with completion data cannot be moved.

  • Assign Questions to Specific Pools: Within the Question Bank, admins can directly assign questions to a specific Question Pool or create a new pool within an assessment. The sidebar lists available pools, and questions are moved to the bottom of the selected pool.

- Enhanced Questions and Answers

  • Image Upload: Admins can upload images directly in the HTML editor for questions. Images can be added, removed, and displayed to learners, with layout options (horizontal/vertical) and the ability to expand images in a new tab for better accessibility.
  • Rich Formatting: Multiple choice and multiple-select question types now support an HTML editor for answers. Admins can format answers with bold, underline, italics, links, lists, and color highlights, improving clarity and engagement for learners. HTML answers are displayed in assessments, with plain text shown in grids.

- Accessibility Settings

  • Learner Profile Accommodation: A new toggle in learner profiles enables automatic accessibility accommodations, such as extended time on assessments. Changes are logged for auditing, and accommodations apply across LMS features when enabled.

  • Site-Wide and Per-Assessment Time Settings: Admins can set default additional time for assessments site-wide and override it for specific assessments. These settings ensure learners with accessibility needs receive appropriate accommodations, with all changes tracked.

- Summary View

  • Assessment Summary: After completing the last question, learners see a summary page listing all answered questions. The summary excludes point values and feedback, shows only selected answers, and allows navigation back to flagged questions. The summary is integrated into the Table of Contents and supports easy review before submission.

 

LMS Fixes

[Admin] General Import Cleanup

Improved reliability of learner imports by removing outdated and failed imports.

[Admin] Scheduled Reports Download Error

Resolved a bug preventing non-admin users from downloading Scheduled Reports. Access permissions now function as expected.

[Learner] Courses Not Launching from Learning Path Details Page

Fixed an issue where some courses were not launching properly from the Learning Path Details page. All assigned courses now launch correctly.

[Legal] EULA and Privacy Policy Display

Fixed an issue where the End User License Agreement (EULA) and Privacy Policy were not displaying correctly for learners in some environments. The EULA icon contrast and modal visibility have been improved to ensure both documents are always accessible and readable.

Scormify Bug Fixes

Video Course Completion Completion Recognition

Fixed an issue where Video upload courses were not being marked as complete for users, even after full video completion. 

Site Redirection and Resource Loading

Fixed errors when accessing the site without "www".

Error Status for New Item Creation

Errors during new item creation now set the status to "Error" instead of "Processing", with improves UI feedback and navigation.

History Status After Retry

When retrying a failed SCORM file download, the status now updates correctly from "Error" to "Done", and the Retry button changes to Download.

File Upload Processing

Addressed an issue where interrupted service during file upload caused items to get stuck in processing, with no way to stop or retry. 

Video Quiz Preview

Fixed an issue where video previews could not be played during the quiz overlay step, allowing users to insert questions at different timestamps.

SCSS Customization

Publishing is no longer broken by malformed SCSS characters in style customization.

Manage Styles – UTF-8 Character Handling

Saving styles with invalid UTF-8 characters no longer requires a second save. Invalid characters are sanitized, and the save button behaves as expected.
