Maintenance Notes for May 20th release

The following issues, performance improvements, and early-stage features were included in this LMS maintenance release:


Fixes

[Learner] Language Selection Not Persisting After Closing SCORM Course

  • When launching a SCORM course using the "Choose Language" dropdown, the selected language previously reset to the profile default upon course close.

  • The selected language will now persist even after the page reloads.

[Groups] Inactive Custom User Fields Causing Group Miscalculation

  • Resolved an issue where inactive single-select custom user fields were still included in group logic calculations.

  • Fix ensures that deactivated custom fields are excluded when processing group membership updates.


Performance Improvements

[User] Latency Improvements

  • Certain endpoints have been optimized for smoother experience for learners.

  • This impacts login, profile updates, profile picture uploads, time offset settings, currency preferences, and logout operations.

[Learner] Course Loading Performance

  • Optimized Course window by simplifying processes and better code structure.

  • Response time improvement from 900ms+ to approximately 300ms.

  • Additional course-related aspects such as classroom, elearning and external launchers (LinkedIn, OpenSesame) were also optimized for better performance.


Features & Updates

[Coming Soon] Initial Stage of REDACTED Feature Implementation

  • Behind-the-scenes work for the upcoming REDACTED feature focused on improving document utilization has been implemented.

    • Note: Feature not available to customers at this time.

[Self Study Course] REDACTED Preparation

  • Adjustments made to Self-Study course behavior in anticipation of the broader REDACTED, aiming for full release in late June.

    • Note: Adjustments not available for customers at this time.

[Assessments] Answer Feedback Enhancements

  • Continued improvements made to the display logic for correct vs incorrect answers during assessments.
