Course Reports - Directed Learning Report
The Directed Learning Report is used to gather results about content that was directly assigned to a learner — either as an individual course or as Learning Paths. Use it to see clear, auditable progress on targeted assignments.
How do I run a Directed Learning Report?
- From the Administrative Dashboard, open Reports from the left navigation.
- Go to Course Reports and choose Directed Learning Report.
- On the Directed Learning tab, set your filters (date range, learners, courses, learning paths, etc.).
- (Optional) Use the column picker to add/remove fields you want to see in the grid and in exports.
- Click Run Report. Results will appear in the grid. If the run takes longer than ~1 minute, the report will switch to background processing and you’ll be notified when it’s ready to download.
What’s included (and excluded)?
Included:
- Courses directly assigned to a learner.
- Courses that belong to a Learning Path that was directly assigned to the learner.
Excluded:
- Self-enrollments
- Assignments granted indirectly via groups or auto-enroll rules (unless the learner also has a direct assignment)
- The report automatically consolidates if a learner has both a direct course assignment (via groups) and receives the same course via a direct assignment. You’ll see a single learner–course row.
