Course Reports - Directed Learning Report

The Directed Learning Report is used to gather results about content that was directly assigned to a learner — either as an individual course or as Learning Paths. Use it to see clear, auditable progress on targeted assignments.

How do I run a Directed Learning Report?

  1. From the Administrative Dashboard, open Reports from the left navigation.
  2. Go to Course Reports and choose Directed Learning Report.
  3. On the Directed Learning tab, set your filters (date range, learners, courses, learning paths, etc.).
  4. (Optional) Use the column picker to add/remove fields you want to see in the grid and in exports.
  5. Click Run Report. Results will appear in the grid. If the run takes longer than ~1 minute, the report will switch to background processing and you’ll be notified when it’s ready to download.

 


What’s included (and excluded)?

Included:

  • Courses directly assigned to a learner.
  • Courses that belong to a Learning Path that was directly assigned to the learner.

Excluded:

  • Self-enrollments
  • Assignments granted indirectly via groups or auto-enroll rules (unless the learner also has a direct assignment)
  • The report automatically consolidates if a learner has both a direct course assignment (via groups) and receives the same course via a direct assignment. You’ll see a single learner–course row.
