      How do I embed a Vimeo video into my Login page or Home page?

      You can customize your LMS by embedding a Vimeo video into your Login page and Home page. You'll either embed a URL or embed code—it depends on which page you want to customize.

      To embed a Vimeo video into your Login page

      1. Log in to your Vimeo account, select the video you want to add from your video library, and then select Advanced
        Note: You must have a Pro Vimeo account to access Vimeo links and URLs from private video libraries.
      2. On the Settings screen that appears, in the menu on the left, select Distribution, and then scroll down the page until you see the Video file links section

      3. Select Copy link next to either Standard Def  (mp4, 960x540) or the High Def 1080p (mp4, 1280x720)
        Note: The dropdown should indicate Play the video
      4. Open the LMS Administrative Dashboard
      5. From the Site tab, select Personalization in the sidebar menu
      6. On the Add New page that appears, select Edit Site Options next to the site you want to customize
      7. On the Images tab that appears, scroll down to Login Page: Primary Image/Video, and select Use Video and Thumbnail
      8. In the Shareable URL for the video to display text box, paste the URL that you copied in step 3 abovecustomize3%2B%2B.jpg
      9. Be sure and select Save to save your edits
        Note: After saving your changes, go to the Login page to review the video. Press Ctrl-F5 on your keyboard to refresh the page, if necessary. video7.jpg

       

      To embed a Vimeo video into your Home page

      1. Log in to your Vimeo account, select the video you want to embed into your Home page, such as the public video shown below. Then, select the Share icon.
      2. On the Share this video modal that appears, in the Embed text box, copy only the part of the embed code within the first set of quotation marks, as shown below:
      3. You can also select a video from your video library and then select Embed code
        Note: You must have a Pro Vimeo account to access Vimeo links and URLs from private video libraries.

      4. On the Embed code modal that appears, copy only the first part of the embed code, as shown below:
      5. After copying the embed code, open the LMS Administrative Dashboard
      6. From the Site tab, select Personalization in the sidebar menu
      7. On the Add New page that appears, select Edit Site Options next to the site you want to customize
      8. On the Images tab that appears, scroll down to Home Page: Image/Video, and select Use Video and Thumbnail
      9. In the Shareable URL for the video to display text box, paste the embed code that you copied in step 2 or step 4 above
      10. Be sure and select Save to save your edits
        Note: After saving your changes, go to the Home page to review the video. Press Ctrl-F5 on your keyboard to refresh the page, if necessary.
