User Management>Communicating with Users & Collecting Feedback
The LMS allows emails to be sent to all users, groups of users, or individual users—it depends on your user role. Group administrators can send email to only users within their assigned group while administrators can send email to all users in the system.
To email all users
- From the Administrative side of the LMS navigate to the "Users" tab in the main navigation header.
- Then, select the "Manage Users" tab from the side navigation menu.
- Leave all information in the "Manager Users" box blank and select the "Search" button. This will redirect you to a search results page where all users will be displayed.
- To send an email to all users, select the check box located in the table header of the user results. Then, select the button "Email Selected User(s)." See image below.
- You will be redirected to a new page where you'll be able to write an email to all of your users. You can see all of your email recipients to the left of the message. Once you've finished writing your message you can select the button "Send Email."
To email groups of users
- From the Administrative side of the LMS navigate to the "Users" tab in the main navigation header.
- Then, select the "Manage Users" tab from the side navigation menu.
- From the drop-down menu in the "Manager Users" box select the group to which you'd like to send an email to and then select the "Search" button. This will redirect you to a search results page where all users within those groups will be displayed.
- To send an email to all users within the group, select the check box located in the table header of the user results (as shown above). Then, select the button "Email Selected User(s)."
- You will be redirected to a new page where you'll be able to write an email to all of your users within the group you selected. You can see all of your email recipients to the left of the message. Once you've finished writing your message you can select the button "Send Email" (as shown above).
To email individual users
- From the Administrative side of the LMS navigate to the "Users" tab in the main navigation header.
- Then, select the "Manage Users" tab from the side navigation menu.
- From the drop-down menu in the "Manager Users" box enter the user information of the individual user that you'd like to send an email to. Then, select the "Search" button. This will redirect you to a search results page where all users within those groups will be displayed.
- To send an email to a specific user, select the check box next to the user's name that you'd like to email. Then, select the button "Email Selected User(s)."
- You will be redirected to a new page where you'll be able to write an email to the individual learner that you selected. Once you've finished writing your message you can select the button "Send Email" (as shown above).
