In general, no. Once a user completes a course, it will stay "completed" unless manually modified. However, if a course is configured with a Renewal interval, the user's completion status will reset on the date selected. This can be configured on the Content>Courses>Edit Course page>Configuration tab:
Steps to Set Up Renewals by Group:
- Set a Renewal Date: This date acts as a reminder for learners to renew the course. The date will update automatically once a renewal occurs, maintaining an ongoing cycle for continued compliance.
- Apply to All or Specific Groups:
- All Groups: Leave the group section blank to set the renewal for all enrolled groups.
- Specific Groups: Select groups individually to assign renewals based on specific needs, like department or role. Once specific groups are chosen, the option to set the renewal for all groups will be disabled.
Adding Multiple Renewal Dates: Create multiple renewals with different dates for unique groups, allowing tailored notifications. However, each group can only be assigned to one renewal per course to avoid duplication.
Important: Ensure groups are assigned to the course before setting renewal dates. Groups without course access cannot be assigned renewal notifications, and each assigned group must be unique.
Note: For online courses, if you simply update the course with a new SCORM package, a user's completion information will not be changed.
